We flew in like a breeze and hustled out like a snow flurry. We had never ventured to Portlandia for a show so we already knew we were in for an adventure. We didn’t know what to expect but we knew we would have fun. Portland is the type of place where creative culture thrives but egos do not. We conquered alot in our short stay and want to share our faves with you!
Work: WWSRA We ventured west to attend our first WWSRA Trade Show. The show specializes in the active sports industries which contains some of our favorite brands ie Volcom, Brixton, Stance and MyPakage just to name a few. We also checked out new brands coming your way for Fall ’17: Vans & RVCA
Accomodations: Hotel Eastlund
Located in NE Portland just a block away from the convention center. Highly recommend this boutique style hotel. Newly renovated with a cool chic vibe of style and comfort. The lobby makes you want to hang out and chill. The have a great cafe at floor level and a roof top restaurant making it easy to not want to leave.
Lunch: Por Que No?
This litte gem is a local favorite that usually has a line wrapped around the block. And it is worth the wait, which really isn’t that long. The atmosphere gives the vibe of someones eclectic house that has invited you over for an amazing mountainous mexican meal. They offer an array of fresh local ingredients that help support the local economy. They offer a wide variety of homemade sauces and salsas that will make any mouth water. Our favorite for sure!
Dinner: Slow Bar
Everyones favorite dive bar atmosphere with amazing food and laid back vibes. Perfect place to pack into a booth with friends and share great stories over burgers and brews. Feel like a local in this compact and low-lit spot with big stylish booths known for its ample late-night menu.
Night Life: Voice Box Karaoke
Ready to test your pipes? This bar offers Asian-style private karaoke with a Portland twist! Have drinks at the bar or head into your rented private room to enjoy the vocal stylings of your friends with state of the art sound and lighting. Great with your closest friends or strangers. Made me want to sing……well almost!
